Casualty Unit

Casuality is the lifeline of any hospital where we receive accident and emergency cases. The unit works 24/7 and equipped with all kinds of emergencies. The patients are accessed by the doctors on the degree of injury and are immediately provided with the treatment before being sent to the respective department.

Anesthesiology Department

Anaesthesiology department is responsible for providing anaesthesia for various procedures and surgeries like critical care services for those suffering from trauma, chronic pain services, acute pain services post-surgery, obstetrics anaesthesia during childbirth and analgesia for C-section.

Cardiology Department

Cardiology department deals with the medical diagnosis of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart attack, valvular heart disease and Electrophysiology. The surgeons perform cardiac surgery. Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Echocardiogram is used to measure the heart function and ultrasound scan of the heart respectively.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Critical Care is also known as the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides treatment for seriously ill patients. Each patient is isolated and individually monitored with the required medical facility. They have a very few beds with specialist doctors and nurses along with consultant anaesthetists, physiotherapists and dieticians.

Gynaecology department

Gynaecology department deals with the investigation and treatment of problems of the female urinary tract reproductive system. Infertility, incontinence and endometritis are some of the problems investigated in this department. Cervical smear screen and post-menopausal bleeding checks. This department usually has a special ward, day surgery unit, an emergency gynaecology assessment unit and outpatient clinics.

Ophthalmology department

Ophthalmology department deals with the investigation of the treatment of eye problems of adult and children. They deal with general eye clinic appointments, laser treatment, optometry, orthotics, Prosthetic eye services and ophthalmic imaging.

Orthopaedics department

Orthopaedics department deals with problems that affect the musculoskeletal system, which includes treating bone, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. There are services like bone setting, surgeries to repair damaged bones or ligaments or tendons, replacing bones like hip replacement and knee cap replacement. They also treat patients with fractures, dislocated joints, musculoskeletal injuries and soft tissue injuries.

Urology department

Urology department can perform specific services like urodynamic research, flexible cystoscopy bladder checks, prostate assessments and biopsies, and shockwaves lithotripsy to break up kidney stones.

Psychiatry department

Psychiatry department deals with investigating, treating patients with a wide range of mental illnesses and disorders like deaddiction services, providing psychosocial counselling and investigating-diagnosing-treating psychiatric illness. Physiotherapy department aims at rehabilitating patients. They are mostly connected to the orthopaedics department. They provide a wide range of body healing therapies and help patient resume normal functioning.

Pathology department

Pathology department has many laboratories under her supervision like bacteriology laboratory (laboratory studies about the bacteria and toxins), biochemistry laboratory (concerned with the chemistry of living organisms of the vital process), Haematology laboratory (it is responsible for making haemoglobin determinations, coagulation time studies, red and white cell counts and special blood pathology studies for anaemia and leukaemia etc.), parasitology laboratory (studies of the presence of parasites, the cyst and ova of the parasites that are found in the faeces), serology laboratory (perform blood agglutination tests, Wassermann tests, etc.) and histopathology department (prepares tissues for gross and microscopic studies).

Paediatrics department

Paediatrics department deals with all the facilities of newborn and child care. Some of the facilities include childbirth, midwifery, antenatal and postnatal care, pregnancy check-up and surgical procedures on children or mothers.

Neurology department

Neurology department deals with the human nervous system. Investigation and treatment of patients having the problems that affect their brains and spinal cord is done here. We have specialist neurologists who carry out surgical procedures on the brain and spinal cord. They examine patients who have been referred to them by other physicians in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. A neurologist will begin their interaction with a patient by taking a comprehensive medical history and then perform a physical examination focusing on evaluating the nervous system. Components of the neurological examination include assessment of the patient’s cognitive function, cranial nerves, motor strength, sensation, reflexes, coordination, and gait.

Oncology department

Oncology department investigates and treats all kinds of cancers and provides a wide range of chemotherapy treatments and radiotherapy for cancerous tumours and blood disorders. This department is links to all the other departments as referrals can be made when one department cannot diagnose the patient’s problem. This department also requires highly qualified and experienced doctors and nurses. Doctors also carry out tumour removal procedures which care, then sent for biopsy to confirm whether the tumour is malignant or not.

Ear, Nose and Throat department

Ear, Nose and Throat department deals with ailments concerned with the ear, nose and throat and it include treatment of a variety of ailments like: general ear, nose and throat diseases, neck lumps, cancers of the head and neck area, tear duct problems, facial skin lesions, balance and hearing disorders, snoring and sleep apnoea, ENT allergy problems, salivary gland diseases, voice disorders and ENT surgical procedures.

Gastroenterology department

Gastroenterology department deals with bowel related-medicine. The department has specialist consultants and they investigate and treat upper and lower gastrointestinal diseases, as well as diseases of the pancreas and bile duct system. It also involves endoscopy and nutritional services. Some sub specialties include colorectal surgery, inflammatory bowel disease and swallowing problems.
